An estimated 1.7 billion people, which is about one-fifth of the global population, live without access to safe sanitary toilets. Furthermore, 2.3 billion people, which is one in three of the global population, lack basic handwashing facilities at home. Deficient hygiene system cause and spread infectious disease such as COVID-19 easily.

However, there are less water area in the world, such as Africa. These days, there are companies and institutions to challenge to create a new toilet system with less water.
